Good afternoon,
This is a periodic reminder of upcoming planned outage work for essential maintenance between the 6th July and 10th July (inclusive), as per our list of important upcoming dates: Important Dates
Due to the nature of the maintenance work, which will include replacing network switches and infrastructure upgrades, OpenStack services and/or virtual machines will go offline or be shut down without notice during this week. Even if a service or VM comes back online they may go offline again later as work progresses.
For this reason, users should prepare any resources for platform outage(s) during the entire week for anything depending or running on the Cloud.
We’ll confirm details of the work we’re planning through our regular communication channels closer to the date. We want to stress that during the planned work that we cannot guarantee the availability of VMs or services during the planned maintenance period.
Due to the nature and impact of this work, we will send out reminders at regular intervals as we get closer to this planned maintenance window.
If you have any questions, please submit a ticket to cloud-support@stfc.ac.uk . We would like to thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
STFC Cloud Operations Group
