Security Groups
Security Groups
What is it?
Security Groups are a mechanism within OpenStack of providing a software firewall
How do we use it?
These are used to restrict the traffic in and out of instances
We provide default security groups which limit access in and out of instances. DO NOT MODIFY THESE
How might it affect you?
Most ports will not be accessible in and out of VMs by default.
Do you need to do anything?
You will need to add security groups and security group rules to allow the traffic that you need.
We will contact you about any vulnerabilities or misconfigurations found and advise you of remediations.
