svc23/24 LB not working as intended. Focussing on one gateway. Testing with the ‘upstream’ LB to check if resolves the issues.

Default socket timeout is ‘never’. Setting to 1 hour for testing.

 

Compilation status with XrdCeph and rocky 8:
5.7.x

working with XrdCeph (compiling together) testing on gw15. Includes the upstream pgreads fix.

 

Gateway Auth failures

Auto-restarting on this failure mode is enable. Still observing occasional cases.

Lancaster: Quiet. Steven is working on a monitoring talk for the XRootD workshop (with a plea to improve the xroot logging). Gerard is working on a Slow Ops investigation for CHEP. Kicked our “what to do about no el8 reef?” decisions until post-CHEP, we’re likely looking at a much-much-much earlier then planned move to Alma9.
